As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be part of an exceptional team developing Mitek's groundbreaking cloud service that will revolutionize banking.
You'll work closely with other software engineers, CloudOps, DevOps, and Product Managers to create advanced cloud solutions. They provide production ready and highly scalable API solutions using microservices and multiple databases (Relational, NoSQL, and Graph) using various AWS Services and deploy everything to their Amazon Web Services cloud platform.
What You Will Do (main duties)
- Design and deliver production-ready API solutions based on a primarily serverless/microservice technology stack programmed in Golang and deployed to Amazon Web Services.
- Collaborate with other team members, Product Managers, CloudOps, and AppOps to determine requirements, implement, deploy, test, and support our products.
- Develop a comprehensive automated test suite that is executed via continuous integration
- Assist with enhancing production systems to scale for increasingly large volume demands.
- Support the development and expansion of our next-gen fraud detection capabilities.
What You Need (to be successful in this role)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in software development leveraging modern development platforms
- Experience in developing solutions that target cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the deployment platform, building Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) systems, and implementing distributed systems based on serverless technology or microservices architecture.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and practices. Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Working knowledge of developing solutions for deployment within Docker containers and building automated unit and integration tests for repeatable and reliable regression testing.
- Mentoring experience, partnering with team members to speed adoption of new tools and technologies.
What Would Be Nice (for a perfect match)
- Experience implementing production systems with Golang.
- Proven experience estimating work accurately and driving to defined milestones.
- Working knowledge of AWS Services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Working knowledge of protobuf, gRPC, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience developing systems based on user stories.
- Experience leading software design working sessions.
- Expertise with unit, integration, and system test paradigms.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology.
- Comfort and familiarity with producing and writing customer facing documentation.
