As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Mitek, you will play a key role in advancing our industry-leading identity verification solutions. Building on Mitek’s history of breakthrough innovations that have transformed mobile banking and digital identity, you will lead the development of software tools and frameworks that accelerate support for new identity documents across our verification services. In this role, you will empower your team to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that strengthen trust and security for millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do (Essential Responsibilities):

  • Manage individual contributor engineers who are working on one or more Agile teams in a matrixed environment
  • Develop high quality internal and external software solutions with an emphasis on providing team code reviews
  • Collaborate with research and development teams 
  • Remove roadblocks and ensure timely delivery of product development 
  • Continuously refine best practices for product releases 
  • Staff, develop, lead and retain a strong team of developers 
  • Build a team culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Guide and coach the personal development of team members 

Who You Are (Soft Skills & Attributes):

What You Need (Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field 
  • 12 or more years of software development experience (C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go) 
  • Minimum 4 years of people management, leading results-orientated teams of 5 or more 
  • CI/CD experience in Jenkins or other automation servers 
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies 
  • Strong software architecture skills using common design patterns and paradigms 

What Would Be Nice (Preferred Skills & Experience):

  • Exposure to machine learning 
  • Jira automation experience  
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services 
  • Experience with Go and gRPC 
  • Experience leading teams to estimate work accurately and driving to defined milestones  
  • Experience leading software design working sessions  
  • Known for organized and well-documented development practices  

€70,000 - €90,000 a year
