We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the organization’s digital assets by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats. You will collaborate across departments to strengthen our security posture, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement in our security operations.
What You’ll Do (Essential Responsibilities):
- Threat Intelligence
- Continuously monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds to identify emerging risks and trends.
- Proactively detect and assess potential threats across network, endpoint, and application environments.
- Vulnerability Management
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of systems, networks, and applications.
- Develop, implement, and track remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response
- Respond rapidly to security incidents, including malware outbreaks, unauthorized access, and system failures.
- Lead containment and mitigation efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Security Monitoring
- Analyze security data from logs, network traffic, and endpoint sensors to identify suspicious activity.
- Escalate and report findings to the incident response team for further investigation.
- Compliance & Policy Development
- Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and update security policies and procedures.
- Training & Awareness
- Deliver regular security training and awareness programs to employees.
- Promote best practices and educate staff on phishing and other common threats.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Create and maintain reports tracking key security metrics (threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, incident response).
- Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improving the organization’s security posture.
What You Need (Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in security analysis, threat intelligence, or InfoSec practices.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, vulnerability management software).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
What Would be Nice (Preferred Skills & Experience):
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM preferred.
- Additional certifications (CEH, OSCP, AWS Security - Certified Professional).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
