As a member of our Sales Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for partnering up with the Sales Team to win deals and acquire new customers.  Along this exciting journey you’ll be involved early in the process, forming relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to understand their motivations for Identify Verification and pain points in their current process.  Educating, positioning, and creative solution selling on how Mitek will solve their pain will be your task at hand.  As you conclude the evaluation and secure the technical win, you’ll work with others in the Go-To-Market Team to prepare the customer for customer onboarding.

What You’ll Do (Role Description)

  • The Sales Engineer is an integral part of Mitek’s Identity Sales team and supports the team with broad technical know-how, in-depth presentations/demos and fast & successful POCs, in order to successfully acquire new customers and channel partners with the objective to continue to grow Mitek’s Mexico revenues.
  • He/she is very familiar with all of Mitek’s products as well as the official Product Roadmap and can answer questions in a wide range of technical subjects relating to product features, performance and installation, as well as in the areas of mobile imaging, OCR, iOS and/or Android development, HTML 5, GUI design/best practices, etc.
  • He/she will bring prior experience in hands-on development of solutions as well as experience in architecture and usability, with an excellent knowledge of trends in technology (mobile, cloud, APIs, etc.)
  • You will:
  • Become an expert with Mitek’s products at a detailed technical level
  • Deliver successful POC outcomes
  • Demo all Mitek products in various use cases and scenarios
  • Contribute in answering RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Educate clients on Mitek product offerings, integration techniques, and best practices
  • Lead client requirements and design sessions
  • Ensure feasibility of prototypes by mapping components to actual existing capabilities/assets (internal and external)
  • Install and customize both mobile and API products
  • Compile and distribute existing iOS and/or Android apps; ability to write apps a plus
  • Work closely with product management, solution architects, customer success, and customer support

What You Need (Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience in similar role, professional services, technical support or engineering
  • Excellent customer presentation skills, able to adapt to executive, business and technical audiences
  • Familiar with SaaS, web-based and enterprise application architectures, incl. infosec issues
  • Knowledge of client-server, server-server architecture, communication protocols, and security experience is a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of web service technologies (REST/JSON)
  • Prior experience developing/managing native or mobile web applications (Android/iOS)
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Javascript, etc.) – a plus
  • Knowledge of mobile landscape and/or Identity/Fraud/Risk industry – a plus
  • Experience with technical selling in the financial services domain.

  • Travel across Mexico, occasionally visiting our headquarters in San Diego, California, USA
