Mitek is searching for a talented, motivated Network Administrator to be part of our IT team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications environment. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment, including phones, desktops, laptops and WAN links in order to ensure smooth network operation and work cooperatively with vendor personnel managing our data center infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working knowledge of Networking Tolopogies and protocols
  • Working knowledge of MS Office365 Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Be proactive and take ownership of user-related IT issues, hardware or software problems
  • Troubleshoot network printers
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Install, manage and maintain internal software products
  • User account maintenance in AD, Web Sites, Salesforce, etc.
  • Log IT support calls on internal ticketing system
  • Support end-users in the operation of IT assets by providing necessary training and guidance
  • Escalate issues to higher-tier support staff when appropriate
  • Identify and arrange for external technical support on issues that cannot be resolved in-house
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve minor LAN related issues
  • Document all work performed and possess the ability to write clear and effective status reports
  • In a subordinate role, provide technical support for large projects, operations, and special events
  • Work as a member of a large team and use established standard operating procedures in the conduct of daily duties
  • Coordinate with senior technical personnel to ensure problem resolution and user satisfaction
  • Understand Active Directory, domain controller functions
  • Understanding of Firewall Management, NAT and WiFi technologies
  • Light Hardware Repair

Be familiar with:

  • SMTP (Exchange 2003/2010)
  • IP-based phone system (experience with Shoretel is a plus)
  • Understand Exchange 2010/O365 functions
  • Familiarity with OSX, Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux, VMWare ESX
  • Update and maintain hardware inventory sheets

* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Intermediate knowledge of backup software and hardware
  • Intermediate knowledge of the latest Network Operating Systems and hardware
  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and Enterprise Messaging Software
  • Working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Support/LAN environment

PREFERRED
