Team marketing at Mitek is looking for passionate storyteller to join the team as global lead corporate communications.  As a technology marketer you will have primary responsibility for shaping the narrative, building the strategy and executing the programs for both internal and external communications. The best candidate will be convicted about digital opportunities and constantly improving the approach to media relations, investment communication and how better to incorporate brand positioning into everything comm related.  If testing new approaches to old tricks inspires you, please read on.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, manage and execute internal and external corporate communications which includes both the planning and creating the associated content needed to make this happen
  • Create pitches, news releases, talking points, and executive briefing documents
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
  • Promote Mitek’s mission, vision and values internally and externally
  • Formulate clear and concise executive and strategic messages for internal and external audiences on complex topics
  • Work closely with incumbent PR agency to garner a steady stream of media coverage, year-round. This will include development of media relations strategies in key markets and tight management of the editorial calendar
  • Build relationships with industry and tech influencers to secure meaningful and frequent positive coverage
  • Help social media teams engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.  This would include an intimate understanding of competitor positioning
  • Apply superb organizational skills to the management of high-level communications opportunities, both internally and externally
  • Serve as speechwriter to senior executives for global audiences, including driving the creation and delivery of compelling, executive-level presentation materials (slides, scripts, messaging documents, and customer stories) as required
  • Provide expert communications counsel to diverse business groups and senior executives
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges and manage and support crisis communications, as needed
  • Support a strategic speaker program for the agency, pitching and identifying industry stages for talent. Help build and maintain partnerships with conferences to identify joint-marketing and commercial opportunities and thought leadership platforms.

What you need:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably having worked in a SaaS technology company
  • Possess publication-quality writing skills and can quickly adapt writing to different voices and styles
  • You can write exceptional talking points about a subject you were just briefed on
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated practice of implementing the fundamentals of the communication practice
  • Prior related experience for a publicly traded company and all the necessities of that cadence
  • Outstanding vendor management with a global PR agency whilst also bringing contemporary practices around the function of PR to include social and influencer strategies; managing SEO etc.
