We're looking for an outstanding Business Analyst like you!

Reporting to the Product Owner, you will primarily be supporting the Product Team with Business Analyst functions including specification, documentation, QA oversight, release management, and delivery of all new projects.

You will facilitate the SDLC with the aim of improving the speed and quality of deliverables, providing clear and detailed API documentation, product briefs and process flows for internal and external stakeholders You will assist with the Product team with task creation and execution, working with the development and QA teams to ensure the products are delivered on time and according to business requirements.

You will be expected to develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Mitek products, systems, applications and infrastructure. 

What will you do?

  • Product Owner Support
  • Be responsible for Managing and maintaining the Kanban development boards in GitLab.
  • Work with the Product Owners to clearly define Business requirements and deliverables for each card created.
  • Develop process or workflow diagrams for any tasks/deliverables.
  • Help plan sprints to ensure the product roadmap is being fulfilled.
  • Work with the business to define and maintain a product roadmap and manage the product development backlog.
  • Ensure consistency of card creation and user stories for each development task.
  • Attend sprint meetings and keep the business up-to-date with development progress.
  • Documentation
  • Generate internal documentation for Product Support relating to the HooYu Products and Services.
  • Generate/Maintain and develop API documentation for the HooYu Products and Services.
  • Generate integration guides and sample integration code for HooYu Products and Services.
  • Development
  • Work with the Development Teams to ensure all tasks/deliverables are clearly defined and understood before development begins.
  • Attend scrum workshops to help define and explain requirements to the development team as required.
  • Assist with the release management process.
  • Work with development & Sys admins to resolve issues to ensure delivery of development.
  •  Quality Assurance
  • Work with the QA team to ensure all tasks/deliverables are clearly defined and understood before QA begins.
  • Generate Scenarios and test cases for each user story.
  • Define any User Acceptance Test plans.
  • Assist QA in reviewing requirements and writing test scripts.
  • Perform UAT testing in JSON/HTML & Batch.
  •  Third Party systems and integrations
  • Assist with vendor selection.
  • Evaluate, Design, and create specifications for 3rd party integrations.
  • Generate and maintain documentation for 3rd party integrations.
  •  Customer & Sales Assistance
  • Assist Product Support technical queries.
  • Business Analyst Reporting
  • Weekly reports will be produced for the Product Team showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.

What do you need to bring? (to be a good fit for this role)

  • Preferably Degree qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable evidence of analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
  • Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications for Information Systems.
  • Proven experience interacting directly with end users and developers & business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment, preferably Scrum training.
  • Industry Experience – Working knowledge of the CNP Fraud Market, Identity verification Market, Payment Processing, Gaming, eCommerce, finance, and banking.
  • Understanding of HTML/JSON/Native Apps  in a B2B environment.
  • Computer skills – Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Bi. Some knowledge of hardware and software specifications.
  • Development Software – Desirable to have some experience or knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Azzure, Visio, HTML, SOAP UI, Cold Fusion, Java, .Net, SQL, JSON Web Services.
  • Results orientated with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to understand the relationship between the business and IT.
  • Excellent at manipulating data/statistical analysis, logical thinker.
