Mobile Capture – Mitek MiSnap
MiSnap is the automatic image capture component of Mitek’s platform. The patent-pending technology captures automatically snaps the best image of the document when conditions are optimal without the need for the consumer to manually press any buttons. Mitek estimates that this advanced mobile image capture technology is twice as accurate as manual photo capture.
The Mitek MiSnap SDK easily integrates with iOS and Android native applications. The Mobile Imaging Platform is accessed via secure HTTPS SOAP/XML Web-services.
Enhance
The Enhance process cleans and converts the image from a 3D color image to a 2D computer readable image. Enhance corrects for shadow, size, skewing and multiple forms of distortion.
Extract
The Mitek Extract process provides highly accurate field-level data extraction services from checks to bills to VINs, Insurance cards, driver licenses and other forms of identification.
Enrich
Enrich is the final stage in the imaging process and involves of validating and making improvements to the extracted data to improve accuracy. The Enrich process validates the data against other extracted data and integrated or external third party databases.

The Mitek Mobile Imaging Platform ensures high availability, fault-tolerance and can fully participate in load-balancing and clustering environments. Load distribution capabilities can be expanded either horizontally (adding more machines) or vertically (adding more resources to a machine).
