IMagePROVE technology turns your smartphone's camera into a "virtual" document scanner. It converts any document you photograph with your phone into a digital image that is equivalent in size, resolution and quality to documents you used to scan at your office.
Unlike their scanned counterparts, mobile images captured by camera phones are exposed to variable lighting conditions, various angles, and focal distance. Ouch. Ever take a bad photo at a birthday party? Well, you can do the same with a document. Let's face it, even with steady hands and good conditions, "raw" photos of documents taken by your phone are drastically different: they may have extra objects in the frame like keys or a coffee cup that can throw the processing off, or they may be an unknown size and resolution from the original document. Even worse, in most cases the document in the photo is often geometrically distorted, skewed or warped. As a result, the quality of the "raw" mobile document image is virtually useless. That's where OOMPH ! has a big advantage.
IMagePROVE uses advanced algorithms to identify and fix all these problems. Picture crooked? We'll straighten it. Warped? We'll un-warp it. Light shadows? We'll remove them. IMagePROVE automatically makes each mobile document picture perfect and equivalent to a scanned image.
